There is a certain relationship between the efficiency of the air source heat pump and the speed of defrosting. What are the causes and effects of air source heat pump frosting? How do we deal with the problem of air source heat pump defrosting? Please ask the professionals to analyze and share with you and learn together!

Air source heat pump abnormal frosting reasons:

1. The outdoor ambient temperature is greater than 0 °C. Soon after the start-up, the condensation water on the surface of the heat sink on the entire heat exchanger will condense into a thin frost, and soon the frost will become thicker and thicker. The indoor mechanism has poor thermal effects and presents frequent defrosting. The fault is generally caused by dirty surface of the heat sink on the outdoor heat exchanger, failure of the outdoor fan system, or entry and exit of the outdoor heat exchanger.

2. The outdoor ambient temperature is greater than 0 °C. Shortly after the start-up, the bottom of the outdoor heat exchanger (starting at the inlet of the heat exchanger at the capillary exit) is very thick, and most of the heat exchanger has no condensation water, and the frost is delayed over time. The frost from the bottom to the top is extended; the indoor fan is always in the low-speed operation of the anti-cold wind; the air conditioner is frequently defrosted.

3. The outdoor ambient temperature is greater than 0 °C. Shortly after the start-up, the upper half of the outdoor heat exchanger (the heat exchanger outlet and the return air pipe) is thickly frosted and is delayed from the top to the bottom on the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger outlet is directed to the heat exchanger inlet) frosting is extended; and the heating effect is poor; the air conditioner is frequently defrosted. This fault is generally caused by too much refrigerant in the system, which often occurs after maintenance and addition of refrigerant.

What is the impact of air source heat pump frosting?

1. Block the passage between the fins and increase the air flow resistance;

2. Increase the heat resistance of the heat exchanger and reduce the heat exchange capacity;

3. Frequent defrosting, defrosting is not complete, defrosting process is an air conditioning operation process, not only can not produce hot water, but also need to consume the original hot water energy consumption, the discharged frozen water back into the insulation tank, Cause the water temperature to drop further;

4. The evaporation temperature drops, the energy efficiency ratio decreases, and the heat pump operation performance deteriorates until it does not work properly.

5. As the unit can not work normally, it will directly cause economic losses to the customer, until the fear of the heat pump product is generated, which will affect its consumption choice.

Air source heat pump defrosting method:

1, can increase the fan speed, increase the amount of air, the frosting process is the first steel tube frosting, after the evaporator fins frost, and then the inside of the evaporator frost.

2. The heat exchange area is increased, and the temperature difference between the evaporation temperature and the ambient temperature is relatively small, and it is not easy to frost at this time.

3. Apply a small circulation system to make the unit rest. Reduce the time of defrosting, while ensuring that the hot water tank has sufficient temperature of hot water, and to ensure an increase in energy efficiency, but the cost has increased.

After the air source heat pump is defrosted, the pipeline insulation should be paid attention to.
